THE CU SITH (WILDERNESS PURSUIT UNIT)
HARDWARE & MATERIAL SPECS

Officially classified as the Mobile Assault and Covert Tracking (MAC T) Chassis, this modular skull mask is issued exclusively to the Cu Sith, an elite unit of long range rangers and wilderness pursuit operatives. The two tone design of the mask separates it into two distinct functional zones:

The Ballistic Cranial Dome (Silver): The upper half of the mask is forged from a lightweight high impact silver alloy. This armored housing protects the operative's optical and neural link hardware.

The Carbon Weave Mandible (Matte Black): The lower snout and jaw are constructed from a matte black impact absorbent carbon weave. Designed to mimic the organic bone structure of a wolf, this section houses the operative's tactical respirator and comms microphone heavily tinted to prevent glare during night ops.

ACOUSTIC HARDWARE (THE EARS)
In the wild, hearing is just as important as sight. The elongated wolf like ears of the MAC T chassis aren't just for intimidation, they house a bleeding edge tactical acoustic system designed to make the wearer an apex tracker.

Predator Audio Amplification: Omnidirectional microphones built into the ear cavities provide 360 degree auditory situational awareness. The system can isolate and amplify low decibel ambient sounds allowing the operative to hear a twig snap or a whispered radio transmission from over a hundred yards away.

Active Noise Reduction (ANR): While amplifying the hunt, the acoustic dampeners instantaneously suppress harmful impulse noises like flashbangs, gunfire, and close quarters detonations.

THE MYTHOS & THE MUTATION
BIO AUGMENTATION (THE FROST OCULAR GRAFT)
The operatives of the Cu Sith are not just highly trained, they are genetically altered. Because these pursuit units are small and operate entirely in the pitch black of the Badlands, the government invests heavily in bio engineering the flesh beneath the mask. Every operative undergoes a brutal ocular grafting process permanently altering their genetics to mimic the Tapetum lucidum found in the eyes of apex nocturnal predators.

Visual Identification: The hallmark of this mutation is the operative's eyes which are permanently stripped of their natural pigment resulting in a luminescent piercing icy blue iris.

Tactical Advantage: This mutation grants the wearer flawless natural night vision. Furthermore, their pupils can dilate and constrict at superhuman speeds allowing them to instantly adapt to sudden blinding light changes. A flashbang grenade that would permanently blind a normal soldier barely makes these operatives blink.

THE CITY WALL MYTHOS
In a totalitarian state that strips its soldiers of identity to make them perfect identical machines, the Cu Sith operatives stand out as the most brutal yet the most human. Operating exclusively as the first line of defense in the irradiated Badlands, they are never seen within the pristine walls of the city. To the sheltered citizens, they aren't viewed as a standard military unit, they are a myth. A ghost story.

When the wind blows toward the city, the operatives' synchronized howling war cries echo for miles across the wasteland. To the soldiers, it is a primal display of pack unity before a hunt. To the terrified citizens locked safely inside, it is a reminder of the horrors kept at bay. Taking their name from the mythical phantom hound of ancient Celtic legend whose howl brought doom, the Cu Sith have become a terrifying bedtime story with parents warning disobedient children: Stay away from the city gates, or the Cu Sith will come howling for you.

MILITARY DESIGNATION & THE REBELLION
THE COMMAND STRUCTURE (TACTICAL WOAD & BONE)
Operating far past the city walls, these operatives hunt in strictly organized packs. To maintain unit cohesion in the wild, an operative’s rank is denoted by their Tactical Woad, digital or painted markings on the silver dome.

The Unblooded (Rookies): Identified by the Factory Standard Chassis, a pristine silver dome and a matte black lower profile. Fresh out of training, these operatives have not yet secured their first confirmed kill and have not earned their colors.

The Pack (Standard Infantry): Identified by a Single Blue Stripe painted across the silver upper plating. These are the frontline hunters who have survived their first deployment.
The Alphas (Squad Leaders): Identified by Three Parallel Blue Stripes marked across the silver dome. These operatives direct the flow of the hunt, coordinating ambushes and leading the Pack in the field.

The Omegas (High Command): The highest rank a foot soldier can obtain. Omegas lead through meticulous logistics and terrifying overwatch. To signify their ultimate authority, the modern silver alloy of their upper dome is stripped away entirely and replaced with a hyper dense matte finish Bone Composite. They are the final word, replacing shiny metal with the primal visage of an actual skull.

THE FIANNA (OUTCAST MERCENARIES)
Not a rank, but a rebellion. Taking their name from the ancient Celtic myth of landless wandering warriors, The Fianna are the sole survivors of wiped out packs who realized the Omegas viewed them as expendable assets. Rejecting the authoritarian government that created them, they severed their tactical data links and vanished into the Badlands. Today, they operate as a rogue private military. While they survive through black market trading, shady dealings, and morally questionable mercenary contracts, they use those resources to shield the vulnerable communities abandoned by the state. To the citizens bound to the unforgiving Badlands, the scarred silhouette of a Fianna mask is no longer a symbol of government terror, it has become a motif of hope and defiance.

Visual Identification & Black Market Mods: Fianna masks are heavily scavenged and brutalized by years of survival. To signify their defection, these outcasts violently scratch off their blue Woad leaving deep gouges in the silver dome. Because they are no longer bound by military uniformity, Fianna operatives customize their shattered chassis with unauthorized war paint using crimson, ash white, or chaotic graffiti. Beyond paint, no two Fianna masks are alike; operatives rely on black market armorers to outfit their gear with unique jury rigged modifications. From spliced in aftermarket optics and external comms wires to reinforced scavenged armor plating, each mask is tailored entirely to the wearer's specific survival needs.
